Student Placements

York Hills is committed to student learning and providing students with an opportunity to develop and practice their theory and skills. York Hills recruits and accepts requests for student placements from recognized colleges and universities and offers a variety of placement experiences. All student placement positions are unpaid.

 

CYW Placements:

Child and Youth Worker placements are offered to students enrolled in the second or third year of their program and can seek placement in our Day Treatment classrooms or Residence.

Currently we are accepting applications for Fall 2019, with a deadline to apply of May 30, 2019

BSW/MSW Placements:

Graduate level social work/counselling placements are accepted.  Undergraduate social work/counselling placements are provided for students enrolled in the third or fourth year of their programs.

Internship Program

Mediation Internship

Our Mediation Internship Program seeks to graduate candidates to the highest FMC (Family Mediation Canada) and OAFM (Ontario Association for Family Mediation) standards of mediation practice.  Interns in our programs will be assigned a primary mentor mediator while at the same time be afforded the opportunity of working under the supervision of several mediators.  There is a fee for this program.
