Services In Partnerships

Programs offered in partnership with York Children’s Aid Society:
  1. Children in Care Enrichment Service (CCES)
In partnership with York CAS, Blue Hills provides a short term assessment and consultation service to support the children placed in an out of home placements (eg. foster or kinship homes). The outcomes include early identification of child/ youth needs, increase placement stability, clinically informed placement and increased understanding of the child/youth’s needs.

  2. Integrated Consultation and Treatment Residential Service (ICT)
Two of the eight beds within the Residential Treatment Program are exclusively for children aged 7 – 13 in the care of York Region Children’s Aid Society.  These two beds are fully integrated into the residential program. The Integrated Consultation and Treatment/ ICT beds are funded and accessed via referral from York Region Children’s Aid Society placement team.

To ensure a comprehensive and collaborative approach to treatment and care, case management responsibilities are jointly shared between the Blue Hills' Integrated Clinical Worker (ICW) and the relevant YRCAS staff.  Regular communication, case conferencing and detailed intervention plans, assure seamless communication and co-ordination of service delivery.

  3. Georgina Island Community Initiative (In cooperation with the Chippewa’s of Georgina Island and York CAS)
In partnership with the Chippewas of Georgina Island First Nations and York CAS, the Bridging Navigator engages with the whole community on a daily basis and plans community development and preventative activities as well as supports the local CAS Band liaison, the school personnel and links with the external services coming on to Georgina Island.  In addition the Bridging Navigator provides individual and family counselling to the families living on Georgina Island from as Healing perspective.
